Wednesday, 7th November 2018, 7pm Room F218 - DCU (St. Patrick’s College)
Newsletter In October 2017, Drumcondra Triangle Residents Association (DTRA) was established to celebrate the community living in the triangle area between Home Farm Road and Griffith Park, as well as Millbourne Avenue and Millmount Avenue, Terrace and Place, and College Manor. We formed a committee and three sub-committees: 100th Anniversary Celebration Committee, Social Committee and Safety and Environmental Committee. Our first year has been an enormous success and we are grateful to all our neighbours who supported our events. We always welcome new members, volunteers, ideas and suggestions for improvements to our area. Snapshot of 2018 DTRA activities • Spring Series of History Lectures, February – May 2018 Four lectures were delivered by historians and academics, Louis O’Flaherty, Dr Ruth McManus, Dr Joseph Brady and Dr Ellen Rowley between February and May 2018 on the local history and architecture of Drumcondra and surrounding area.
• Liaised with Dublin City Council to secure improvements to the local environment such as fixing paths, removing debris from electricity cables, fixing broken electricity boxes. • Wildlife Walk and Bat Walk in Griffith Park, as well as Wildlife Talk.
