Drumcondra Triangle Residents Association is the Residents’ Association for the area of houses forming a triangle which is bounded by Home Farm Road and Griffith Park, and including Millmount Avenue and Millbourne Avenue, west of Drumcondra Road. The Association represents approximately 700 houses.
The Association was established in October 2017, and has the following objects:
To maintain and improve conditions and amenities in the area for all residents.
To encourage community and social interaction for the benefit of all residents.
To represent and to promote the interests of all residents living in our area.
To represent the interests of residents in consultation with the local authority and other bodies.
To work in partnership with the council and other agencies and third parties to achieve our aims.
The Association shall be non-party political and non-sectarian.
The Association shall be committed to diversity and shall welcome all residents as members and represent all regardless of their gender, nationality, marital status, race, religion, ethnicity, family circumstances, employment status, disability, race or sexual orientation.
The Association has an executive committee which meets monthly to discuss and agree actions, as well as the following subcommittees: 100th Anniversary Celebration Committee, Social Committee and Safety and Environmental Committee. The activities of the Association since its inauguration are:
Organisation of a Spring Series of History Lectures
Four lectures were given by historians and academics between February and May 2018 on the local history and architecture of Drumcondra and surrounding area. Lectures were held in DCU (St. Patrick’s College) and were attended by 80 – 100 people on each occasion.
Organisation of the annual Picnic in the Park for the community with dog show, children’s sports games, bands, music lessons for children and a Cake sale.
Organisation of the annual Spring Clean-Up
Liaising with Dublin City Council to secure improvements to the local environment such as fixing paths, removing debris from electricity cables, fixing broken electricity boxes.
